REGULATIONS

Eligibility:
  • Open to badminton enthusiasts of any nationality and race. Participants must voluntarily enter and be in good health. Any accidents occurring during the competition (outside of the insurance provided by the organizer) are the sole responsibility of the participant. For those aged 65 and above, and is not covered by insurance; a signed declaration from a family member is required for participation, otherwise the committee has the right to refuse entry.
  • Players can enter maximum of two (2) events, combine age and 3P events are considered as one event (i.e. a player can participate in a non-combined age event and participate either in a combine age event OR 3P event).
  • Player cannot enter an older age category, but the older players can compete in younger age category.
  • Ex-professional (classified as player who has a BWF ID and was previously participated in BWF sanctioned tournament) players aged 50 and above may enter the amateur group, but they cannot paired up with another ex-professional in a double event.
  • Any dispute, a formal appeal must be submitted within 30 minutes of the incident. Appeals that are not submitted within the specified time will not be accepted. A deposit of RM 600 (1000 RMB) must be paid to the organizing committee as an appeal fee. If the appeal is successful, the deposit will be refunded; if the appeal fails, the deposit will not be refunded and will be added to the event’s prize money pool.
Competition Format:
  • 11 points, best of 5, no interval, change end at 6 points during last match. No deuce.
  • First Round: Group Stage; Second Round: Knockout/Elimination. The Group will be determined based on the number of participants.
  • Players must arrive at the designated time displayed in the system. Late arrivals beyond 5 minutes will be considered walkover. If they have back-to-back matches, they are allowed a 30minute rest. In the event of a scheduling conflict, players must report to the referee’s desk and inform the referee. The referee has the authority to adjust the match time and court, and the opponent must comply with the adjustments.
Registration and Payment:

  • Registration is open from May 1 to August 11, 2025.
  • The entry list will be published (to be informed) for three days. During this period, adjustments and modifications to the list are allowed. After the entry posting period, no changes can be made to the list, and no refunds will be issued. Each team and player are responsible to verify the eligibility of their entry, and they will bear responsibility for any errors. The draw and schedule will be published one week before the tournament.
  • Please fill in T-shirt size when registering (the organizing committee will order the T-shirts based on the sizes provided). 1 shirt per event. (2 shirt for 2 events) 
  • Participation fee: RM80 (USD 18) per event, per player.
  • Registration is only considered successful after the payment is completed. Those who have not paid will be regarded as incomplete registrations and will not be accepted in the draw. No refunds will be given after the draw.
  • Substitution is allowed, and it must be approved by the organizing committee and referee, and it is on a case-by-case basis.
Awards:
  • Medals, certificates, sports equipment and prizes for the top three podium finishers, certificates for those fifth-eighth place:
    • For group of 12 or more (players), awards will be given to the top 8 (with top three podium finishers third and fifth to eighth place).
    • For group of 6-11 (players), awards will be given to the top 3.
    • For group of 4-5 (players), awards will be given to the champion and runners up.
    • For group of 3 (players), awards will be given to the champion.
    • If an event is less than 2 players, the event will be merged or cancelled.
  • No formal prize award ceremony. Winners will be notified via announcements at the venue and can claim their prizes, medals, and certificates at the designated collection point.
